The Secret To Leaping Through The Dark…

We must walk consciously only part way toward our goal, and then leap in the dark to our success. ~ Henry David Thoreau

When is the last time you did something that absolutely terrified you? Perhaps you acted unafraid as you stepped into thin air and swan dived into the first bungee jump of your life. Or, perhaps the free fall only happened in the pit of your stomach as you got down on one knee to propose or walked into your boss’s office to quit your job, even though you didn’t have another one waiting for you.

Here at A Fresh Chapter, we’ve had some practice jumping off cliffs, yet we have to admit that each time we leave solid ground and plummet through the darkness, the stakes have been raised and it’s more terrifying than ever.

But, like the ancient greek warriors who landed on enemy shores and followed the commander’s orders to “burn the boats”, there is a moment in the pursuit of any big dream when you must go “all in” and choose to stand and fight for victory because you refuse to let fear be your dictator.

If you have followed our #Delhi2013 dream over the last few months, you might have guessed that we recently passed the point of no return. With 8/12 flights booked, this is REALLY happening. In less than a month, our #Delhi2013 Dozen will be on the other side of the world, practicing their Hindi and getting ready to volunteer in local community projects.

As we rocket through the fear of not knowing exactly how we’ll pull this off, we are choosing to believe in the Henry David Thoreau quote above. It’s time to get our survivors to India, introduce them to their volunteer placements, and watch them marvel at the wonder of the Taj Mahal. Let’s give each of them the opportunity to live the hell out of their lives  and leave a legacy.

Please join us by making a donation and continuing to spread the word. It’s because of your incredible support that we have raised $3400 and covered 8 flights. We are a 1/3 of the way to our goal of $10,000. Every single dollar counts and there is no way we could do this without you.

For all of you social media mavens out there,  please spread the word on Facebook or click to tweet this message on Twitter: Want The Secret To Leaping Through The Dark? C/O the latest #Delhi2013 video & RT to spread the word: http://goo.gl/jqYj9

Are You Ready For The Big Secret?

We have learned that the secret to succeeding with audacious dreams is (a) the willingness to believe so passionately in your vision that you will risk everything to see it happen and (b) the willingness to trust in a community of amazing people who believe in the cause as strongly as you do.

So, please join us. Together we are changing the landscape of survivorship globally. Together we are reminding twelve cancer survivors to believe in the beauty of their dreams. And, together we are telling stories that will inspire you to believe that anything is possible.

Thank you for spreading the word and sharing the journey with us. It’s time to leap off the platform and into our dreams.

Big thanks to Mark Halliday of Moonrider Productions for our final pre-#Delhi2013 video below. Next time you see us – we’ll be on the other side of the world….
